Quality Improvement Networks
A key aim of the Quality Improvement Hub is to bring improvement science into the everyday work of NHS staff and to spread and sustain quality improvement at the local level. This aim is supported by the development of quality improvement networks which are open and accessible to all staff.
The Hub has a philosophy of 'skill sharing' and 'community building'. A key part of the Hub is the quality improvement experts and practitioners it brings together, and supports, to grow and learn as a community actively engaged in improving health and healthcare across Scotland.
A number of regional events have been facilitated by key Hub partners with the aim of identifying the current quality improvement experts and practitioners within NHSScotland and to bring them together as potential members of this new community.

Directory of Improvement Practitioners
This community of quality improvement experts and practitioners has a range of valuable skills, experience and expertise which can be shared by NHSScotland.
The Quality Improvement Hub is currently consulting territorial NHS boards about the development of a Directory of Improvement Practitioners. The aim of the directory is to develop a resource to support NHS boards, locally and nationally, with quality improvement work.
It is hoped that the Hub will be able to broker the skills and expertise of this group of improvement experts and practitioners for the benefit of NHSScotland as a whole. For details of how we are establishing brokerage arrangements please click the link.
Other Networks
Other networks include CHAIN (Contact, Help, Advice and Information Networks), free multi-professional online networks for people working in the sphere of health and social care.
